The Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013-2025, which was launched by Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (pic) last week, has received remarkable support from all stakeholders, both in and outside the country.
Muhyiddin, who is also Education Minister, said many parties had expressed confidence that the implementation of the comprehensive education plan would bring about big improvements to the country’s education system.
The Deputy Prime Minister said everyone directly involved in the process clearly want to see improvement in various segments including commitment from parents, community, teachers, school administration and students.
Muhyiddin said he was happy with the outcome of his meeting with industry leaders over the past two days, especially representatives from the University of Redding and a number of universities in the UK who took part in a positive way by contributing positive views and ideas towards the government’s initiative to launch the blueprint.
“They were amazed with the blueprint and congratulated the Malaysian government for taking such a huge initiative and they felt it will provide huge benefits to universities because students who come through the system will have quality when they enter universities for higher education,” he told Malaysian reporters on the fourth day of his five-day working visit to the UK, at the Malaysian High Commissioner’s office, in London, today. – Bernama, September 11, 2013.
