Jay McGuiness thinks he looks like a bin man.
The singer makes up boyband-of-the-moment The Wanted with Max George, Nathan Sykes, Tom Parker and Siva Kaneswaran.
While their sexy voices leave fans around the world screaming, Jay isn’t sure he’s much of a sex symbol.
The star was completely taken aback when an animal rights charity named him sexiest vegetarian in the world recently.
“Erm… I feel like they need to go to [the opticians], but I do appreciate it,” he laughed to the British edition of OK! magazine.
“I mean, look at me – I look like a bin man!”
Despite Jay’s lack of confidence, The Wanted don’t have any problems when it comes to girls.
Youngest member Nathan, 20, has just recorded song Almost Is Never Enough with US beauty Ariana Grande and there are rumours of a romance between the pair.
Nathan responded in a bashful manner when asked about the brunette singer.
“It was an absolute honour to be asked because the song, Almost Is Never Enough, is amazing,” he gushed.
“If there was anything to be told, we both have very good relationships with the fans, so they’ll hear it from us…”
