Lamar Odom’s father blames the Kardashians for his son’s downfall.
The 33-year-old sportsman tied the knot with Khloé Kardashian in 2009. Their relationship is thought be under strain amid reports Lamar has a problem with crack cocaine and is addicted to prescription medication Oxycontin and Ambien.
Lamar’s dad Joe believes all this trouble started when he tied the knot with Khloé and thinks his son would be happier without her. He also doesn’t trust Kris Jenner and has voiced his opinion on his daughter-in-law’s mom.
“They brought him down. He would be better off without them. I think the best thing for him would be to have a clean break and divorce Khloé,” Joe insisted to British magazine Heat.
“[Kris has] been talking a lot of trash about my son, saying he’s on drugs and stuff like that. I don’t think she cares about Lamar, she just cares about their image and money.”
Joe also revealed he is disappointed his son became a part of the Kardashian family as he doesn’t trust them. He claims they are not as nice away from the camera as they are on their reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
“I wish he had never got married to Khloé. She’s controlling. Those Kardashian women all are. I heard the way she talked privately,” he revealed. “It isn’t pleasant. In public she’s nice, but if you see her in person you actually see the real person. The mother’s like that, too. The whole family, they put up an act.”
In a bid to reach out to the troubled star Joe thinks Lamar should seek help. He hopes his son will move on from the drugs and recover in a facility.
“I love my son dearly, but my advice to him would be: leave the drugs alone. Go into rehab. Nobody’s perfect,” Joe advised.
