Incognito Michelle Dockery - ( M4L4YS14 )

Michelle Dockery would only get recognised by fans if she “wore a tiara”.

The actress plays Lady Mary Crawley in the British period drama Downton Abbey, which is popular all over the world.

Luckily Michelle’s elaborate costumes mean she isn’t constantly stopped while out and about.

“People coming over to us doesn’t happen as often as you may think because we look different to the way we do in the show,” she explained to the British edition of OK! magazine.

“If I was walking around in a tiara, then I would get recognised! It’s so lovely when people really want to tell us how much they love the show. It feels there seems to be more of it in America but it’s always a really nice feeling when they do.”

In last season’s finale of Downton Abbey, Mary gave birth to a baby called George.

Filming with the cute tots who play her son is making it hard for Michelle, 31, not to think about having her own family.

“It’s hard not to feel broody around the twins who play George! They are absolutely gorgeous,” she grinned.

“Allen Leech and I have had scenes together with the children and it’s been such a change, I’ve loved it.”

George seems a popular name right now, with Britain’s Duke and Duchess of Cambridge calling their son George Alexander Louis.

Michelle is thrilled the royals picked the moniker for their newborn child.

“It was quite amazing when I saw those front pages with the name George, and of course it’s just something we’ve been saying for ages as part of the storyline with baby George,” she laughed.

“It’s a really wonderful coincidence. I hear William and Kate are fans!”
