19 Sep – 80s pop star and worldwide icon Cyndi Lauper, famously known for her hit “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” might be thinking about working her way into getting an Academy Award in the future!
The star had also previously won Grammy, Emmy, Tony, MTV VMA, Billboard and AMA awards, and to add on to the list might be Lauper’s next goal.
“I would love to have the chance to write music for a film,” said Lauper, “I have always wanted to write songs for movies because I love them. My husband and I watch old movies all the time and I get caught up with some of the great scores, especially from films from the 50s and 40s.”
Though Lauper is currently on her own reality television program called “Still So Unusual” about her daily life as she manages her career and unusual personal life, she is also still an avid supporter of LGBT rights and is celebrated for her on-going humanitarian work over the last thirty years.
She might also extend her Broadway musical into a big budget Hollywood production, like many Broadway productions such as “Les Miserables” and “Hairspray” had done stated that she would love for it to happen.
